I CAN DO HARD THINGS!!

In life we are faced with challenges everywhere we turn. To quote a very wise woman "Christ had people stone him and hurt him but he still loved them and never said bad things about them." This wise woman went on to say "You can do hard things" As I face a very hard week with a lot on my plate and more and more getting put on it I find myself doing hard things all the time. How do we get through these hard things? I may not have an answer to that question beside the fact that I can do hard things.
Today on my way to Idaho Falls to teach one of my fellow teachers shared this song:

(Child) Teacher*, do you love me?
Teacher*, will you care for me?
Even if I turn away, or disobey, or go astray,
Then will you love me still?
Teacher*, will you teach me?
Teacher*, help me choose the right.
When I do not understand the Lord's command, please take my hand
And lead me safely with his light.

(First time child only.)
I need your love, I need your light
To show me how to be like Jesus.
The Savior's love will light the path
To lead me safely home.

(Teacher) Oh yes, my child, I love you.
My child, I'll always care for you.
And with the Savior as our guide,
I'll share the light I feel inside,
And you will feel his love for you.

Oh, yes, my child, I'll teach you.
My child, I'll help you choose the right.
And when you do not understand
The Lord's command, I'll take your hand,
And he will lead us with his light.

I need your love, I need your light
To show me how to be like Jesus.
The Savior's love will light the path
To lead us safely home.

I think that this song is something that we all need to keep in mind as we do hard things. One of my favorite lines is "I need your love, I need your light". Even if things are hard there are those around us that need our love and our light.

So when you go through challenges just remember I CAN DO HARD THINGS, because those around me need my love and light.

Sunday Fun Day!

I love Sundays!! It is a great start to a new week. Today I got to hang out with some of the best people, play some cards, eat some really great food, and chat with my Bishop. One thing that I want everyone to know is that "Heavenly Father knows". Life is that simple Heavenly Father knows! He knows that I'm stressed. He knows that I'm hurt. He knows that I'm angry. He knows that I love him. He knows I'm happy. He knows. He knows. Have a great week everyone!! I take my last certification exam on Saturday, so wish me luck. I found this great song take a listen!

Mid-Terms

Finally half way done!!! I'm still getting really good grades my lowest grade is a 96%!!!! I have found that this semester is really hard for a lot of different reasons. I have a ton of work to do. I feel alone a lot. And it's hard to mesh my new life and my old life. I'm really excited for everything to come!!! I feel really good in the classroom, and my lesson plans are great. I'm pretty sure I've come up with a theme for my classroom, so my amazing family is looking for decorations already. I get to go on a mock interview with an elementary school principal and he is going to tell me everything I need to work on. I have my student teaching dates (January 4th- May 2nd). I'm for sure walking in April. AND I'm going to be SI from Duck Dynasty for Halloween! Here is the quote of the day:

My Last Semester

Well these last few weeks have been crazy!! I moved back to Rexburg for my last semester! WAHOOO!!! School has started... and I'm taking 17 credits... I'm dying just a little bit. I will say this I'm getting really good at getting up at 6 am to finish homework before my 7:45 class. Yesterday I started going to school for my Senior Practicum class. I get to spend all day in a school in Idaho Falls twice a week. I love it!!! It is so much fun!!! My class is so cute! One of the students already gave me a note saying how happy there are that I'm in their class (ohh and the my glasses are really cool). In my Senior Practicum class we get to write lesson plans for every time we are in the class room, and of course teach the lesson plan. We also get to write a unit. I'm in 4th grade and I'm really hoping to be able to do a unit on Idaho State History even though I don't like Idaho... I will probably find out tomorrow what my unit will be on. I'm starting to feel a lot more comfortable in the class room, and I'm not so scared. Now that I'm getting close to being done I'm starting to think about my future classroom and all the fun things that I want to do in it. I also have come up with some what of a time line for graduation, applying for jobs, and getting a job. Basically the beginning of my last semester has been pretty awesome (except I'm already getting really tired).

Now for the fun stuff. My sister came up last weekend and we went to Yellowstone National Park. We saw a lot of really great animals. This Friday we are going to a huge Bon Fire!! Like HUGE!! Our ward also had our opening social this last Monday, which I planned. We had a field day, and played with those big parachutes for elementary school. It was a lot of fun!

So that has been my life in a nut shell.
